We are a traditional church, believing the Bible to be God's Word without error or contradiction, and the only source of faith and doctrine. We embrace the three Ecumenical Creeds (the Apostles' Creed, the Nicene Creed, and the Athanasian Creed), and the writings of the Reformation (The Book of Concord), because they are a correct statement of the teachings of Scripture.
We retain the use of the historic Christian liturgy handed down by the early church, since it is global and multi-cultural. Transcending time and place, liturgical worship provides a sacred structure to our service, while avoiding the pitfalls and passing fads of contemporary worship that are so common today.
Our theology is evangelical, meaning we put the Gospel message of Christ crucified for the sins of the world at the center of our proclamation of faith. We endeavor to live in harmony with the will of God as it is revealed in His Law, but at the same time we confess that we have fallen short of the glory of God. Trusting in His love and mercy, we believe His promise that we have the forgiveness of sins. This grace of God has been revealed to us in Christ Jesus, the crucified and risen Son of God, who is the second person of the Holy Trinity. And through faith in Christ Jesus, created in us by the Holy Spirit, we have peace with the only true God and life everlasting.
If you are looking for a Bible-based, liturgical church that is down to earth, yet transformed by the mysteries of heaven, we would be honored to serve you and your family.
